Add some beauty and whimsy to your life!
You are busy. You are a creative person but you may not always have an outlet. You love to look inwards and find ways to grow. You meditate every day...or you want to but never quite manage it.
Adding some beautiful art to your life can help. A little reminder over your desk or a centerpiece in your home that features a woman--lovely, peaceful, pensive, dreaming--puts things back into perspective. Gives you a moment of peace in a chaotic life, or perhaps reminds you of everything you have to be thankful for in a chaotic world. Let my paintings inspire you to be the perfection that you already are.
I seek out the beauty in every woman and use that vision to create mixed media art that inspires and heals. The finished pieces are a Utopian vision of inner beauty manifested; they serve as a reminder to take care of yourself, to find moments of peace, kindness, and self-love. I often paint directly on wood, so the wood grains help to inform the finished piece.
I graduated from Portland State University with a B.A. in Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking in 2002. Many years and lots of hard work later, I now spend much of my time painting in my home studio in Portland, Oregon. I am also a Reiki Master and I use Reiki in the creation of my art and combine the two to help others find deep inner healing in private sessions, workshops, and retreats. When I am not working, I am raising a preschooler and a teenager, meditating, hula hooping, and seeking joy in every possible moment.

"Lea's art is my favorite! I have her work throughout my studio. The personality that shines through each piece puts me in a better place, so much so that I kind of have a habit of gifting her art goodies to friends and family as well." --Rebecca Sander
