What's Your Word of the Year?

"Magic," reproduction print, 8 x 10" by Lea K. Tawd

In my last post, I talked about taking this time of year to rest, recover, and gestate your goals rather than just running with it and then running out of steam a few short weeks (or days...) later.

But that doesn't mean that you can't use the momentum of the season to get inspired, plan and dream!

I don't like to make Resolutions, but I do love the practice of choosing a Word of the Year.  Once I choose it, I illustrate it and use it as a mantra to help me stay inspired no matter what the year brings.

This year, I'm choosing Magic.  This is one I've used in the past, but I am giving myself permission to use it again.  We have experienced so much personal loss these past three years, and I have taken a lot of time off and even more time regaining my inspiration and motivation.  Now I could use a little magic to top it off as I really get back to my practice and feel a little more like myself a little more of the time.

What is your word of the year?  Do you need some inspiration?  I have a small series of inspirational prints that can help keep you going through this year and beyond. Just click the image below to find them.
